Stat-X® fire suppression is an advanced aerosol technology that protects enclosed special hazards. Aerosols are an effective new alternative to traditional special hazard fire protection. Stat-X fire suppression is currently used worldwide in many critical applications.  Stat-X aerosol fire suppression should be considered when evaluating the use of halon substitutes, CO2, inert gas, dry chemical, or water mist. Stat-X fire suppression is an approved halon replacement and hydrofluorocarbon (HFC) alternative.

The EPA recognizes that Stat-X® fire suppression is substantially less harmful to the ozone layer, has lower climate impact, and a shorter atmospheric lifetime compared to Halon 1301. In addition, the pre- and post-activation constituents of Stat-X have lower climate impacts and shorter atmospheric lifetimes than those predicted for their substitutes (competitors) examined, as well as a commonly utilized substitutes. Thus, EPA believes that use of Stat-X would result in substantially less harm to ozone layer than the continued use of Ozone Depletion Substance (ODS) and commonly used ODS substitutes and will also have a lesser impact on the climate system.

 

Stat-X Product Range

Stat-X® Fixed System: Electrical Units for Ordinary Locations

Stat-X electrical fixed systems are electrically actuated and range in size from units containing 30 grams (covering up to 0.5 m3) up to 2500 grams (covering up to 40 m3). These units are typically tied to conventional fire detection systems and releasing panel.

Stat-X® Fire Suppression System: Thermal Units

Stat-X fixed system thermal generators are stand alone units incorporating their own patented detection mechanism, eliminating the need for separate detection and releasing controls. Suitable for a broad range of applications in smaller enclosures. They are available in sizes ranging from 30 grams up to 1000 grams.

Stat-X manual generators are stand alone units that can be activated manually with a cable pull. Suitable for a broad range of applications in smaller enclosures. They are available in sizes ranging from 30 grams up to 1000 grams.

Stat-X First Responder® Aerosol Fire Suppression Tool (FST)
